Jonathan Vasquez

I am originally from the Bronx, NY, and I have been dedicated to coaching volleyball for as long as I can remember. I started my coaching journey at the age of 18 at Legacy Volleyball Club, where I began as an assistant coach before moving up to become the head coach. During my time there, I also served as the boys' director, helping to establish a solid foundation for the program. After Legacy, I spent five years at NYC Impact Club, where I thrived as the head coach for the 15-18 age group. I also took on the role of assistant boys' director, contributing to the club's growth and success. In more recent years, I've been involved with the volleyball program at Monroe College. I coached the women's team for two seasons and then worked with the men's team for one season. My time at Monroe was particularly fulfilling, as I guided the women's team to two national appearances and led the men's team to a second-place finish in the national championships in 2023. In addition to coaching, I also took on the responsibility of recruiting players for the men's program at Monroe College, which showcases my commitment to nurturing talent and building successful teams. Overall, my coaching career has been marked by numerous achievements, including earning the AVCA 2023 Thirty Under 30 award. I am passionate about developing athletes and dedicated to maintaining a high standard of excellence in all that I do.
